ATLANTA — More than two years into a pandemic — and with signs that life is slowly but surely returning back to normal — how are America’s favorite restaurant’s faring?

Market research company TOP Data analyzed more than 50 of the country’s most popular casual dining chains to see which ones are getting the most customer traffic in 2022 by state.
“We wanted to see how some of America’s most popular casual dining chains are fairing in each state, as well as how sit down friendly restaurants are performing against their grab and go counterparts,” the company said.
TOP Data analyzed visit data from 12M Americans to compare which restaurant chains and states are getting the most foot traffic compared to 2021 figures.
Traffic at casual dining restaurants has increased 8.4% since 2021 nationwide.
In Georgia, the top five casual dining restaurants in 2022 according to TOP Data are:
- Waffle House
- Chili’s Grill and Bar
- Cracker Barrel
- Olive Garden
