Concept video shows what a God of War remake could look like with Unreal Engine 5
God of the war fans are eagerly awaiting the launch of God of War Ragnarok later this year, with the new game set to conclude the Norse Mythology storyline that began with the 2018 God of the war PS4 game. While many enjoy the latest God of the war games, some fans held out hope for a return to the franchise’s early days, asking for the original God of the war to redo or remaster.
Sony has not announced any plans to develop a God of the war remake, but now fans have an idea of what such a project could look like. The YouTube channel TeaserPlay, which mainly makes concept videos for hypothetical video games, recently posted a video showing what a God of the war The remake could look like it was built using Unreal Engine 5. The video shows Kratos, equipped with the Blades of Chaos, exploring various settings of Greek mythology and chatting with Zeus.
Interestingly, the concept video reinvents the original God of the war to be more in line with the style presented by the 2018 God of the war game and to come God of War Ragnarok. One of the most obvious ways to achieve this is to use a camera angle very similar to that seen in the new God of the war titles, as opposed to the more distant view used in the original God of the war Games.
While a God of the war remake is not in development, the good news is that most of the series is easily accessible on PlayStation’s latest hardware, available to play on both PS4 and PS5. God of War 3 Remastered is a native PS4 version, while a PlayStations Plus Premium subscription gives God of the war fans have access to HD versions of God of the war and god of war 2as good as god of war ascension.
There are some God of the war games that are missing from the range, however, with God of War: Chains of Olympus and God of War: Ghost of Sparta both unavailable at the time of this writing. It’s possible that PS Plus Premium will eventually be expanded to include these games, especially since the service is expected to add more PSP titles down the line. Most fans would probably prefer to see the vast god of war saga PS3 collection are making the jump to newer hardware, however.
Sony’s plans for the past God of the war the games are unclear, but as for the future of the franchise, we know exactly what lies ahead. The God of War Ragnarok the release date is fast approaching, so the wait is almost over to see what’s next for Kratos and Atreus.
God of the war is available on PS2.
