Post Void has a new console release date

The highly anticipated first-person shooter Post Void has finally received a release date for consoles. Publisher Super Rare Originals announced via Twitter that their latest project will launch on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 on September 29.

Post Void had previously been delayed as the developer team would have needed more time to polish the game to deliver the best possible experience when it launched. YCYJ Games seems to have been pretty quick to make the final tweaks and improvements to bring Post Void to its intended platforms sooner than expected. Unfortunately, the publisher hasn’t specified why the fast-paced thriller won’t be released on Xbox consoles at the time of writing, but PlayStation users can now add Post Void to their wishlist via the PS Store.

“Prepare to step into the void… We’ve taken a little longer to make POST VOID perfect – it’s out now on September 29th on PlayStation and Nintendo Switch! Put your finger on the trigger…this psychedelic-style FPS YCYJ Games retro is coming soon, publisher Super Rare Originals said in a new release.

Post Void was originally released on PC via Steam in 2020, quickly receiving various accolades thanks to its dynamic gameplay supported by a unique pixel art style. Post Void’s review ratings on Steam are currently overwhelmingly positive, with over 6,000 player reviews.

The hit FPS game forces players to keep up with its fast-paced combat, which requires consistent focus from start to finish. In other words, if players slow down or hesitate to kill, it’s game over. Players must improve their kill score to maintain their health, forcing them to keep running non-stop. It’s also worth noting that Post Void will include DualSense controller support, making the player’s action experience even more chaotic and immersive.

Developed by YCYJ Games, Post Void is a roguelike action game emphasizing a retro 1990s theme with a colorful world. It is a game that players can enjoy with action-fueled combat for several hours. Post Void will launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch on September 29 and is also available on Steam.
